Buddhawood Uses
Buddhawood has been used in perfumery, house cleaning products, skin care, personal care and aromatherapy. Buddha wood (Eremophila mitchellii), native to Australia, has been traditionally used by Indigenous Australians for its medicinal and spiritual properties. The wood and leaves are used to make oils and infusions to treat skin infections, sores, and inflammation, while its aromatic properties are employed in smoking ceremonies for cleansing, grounding, and promoting emotional balance.
For use in a diffuser, add 8-10 drops to 600ml of water, which will last for up to 8 hours. Add 3-4 drops to a carrier for a refreshing massage blend. Combine with other Native Secrets essential oils for a unique Australian aroma. Store below 30℃.
Wood essential oils are generally thicker than other essential oils. You may notice more residue after use in your diffuser than normal. This is not a sign of impurities, rather a difference in characteristics between plants, often between leaf and wood of the same plant. We recommend cleaning your diffuser after each use to avoid any residue build up. The quickest and easiest way to do this is by dipping a cotton tip in pure white vinegar or rubbing alcohol and wiping the inside of your diffuser. Be sure to get into the edges and corners. Take extra care when moving near or over the plate.
